Play is not just fun….it is fundamental to children’s development… Children don’t play to learn….they learn because they play (UNICEF)
Many children have an average of four toys they’ve never played with….around 162 million unwanted toys in the UK
More that 1 in 4 children in the North live in toy poverty
How we do it
How we do it
We collect unwanted toys and put them in the hands of kids who need them
Some we sell to fund our activities and running costs. The majority are delivered to disadvantaged families.
Who we support
We distribute directly to some families, including refugees, those seeking asylum and those with particular needs.
We network and collaborate with partner organisations to ensure that toys go to families where they’re needed.
We accept referrals from schools, health and family support workers, community organisations, and other charities.
